About US
Well, really there is no us, there is me, Sherri Myers. I am
currently 38 years, happily married. Son Age 23 Lives in Florida, whom gave me 2
lovely grandchildren, and another on the way. Son age 17 Lives at Home with me,
incredibly smart. Daughter age 15 whom recently gave me a grandchild in which I
am raising full time ( we won’t go into the teenage parenting subject), Dog,
Cat, & 6 Parrots. So, I am Basically a part of a an average American family who
does an online business in order to buy groceries. I started this business back
in 2001 in with a website called discount-intimate-apparel at the time I was
also working 60+ hours a week as a sanitation foreman at a food factory. I
stumbled on to the business buy being a cheapskate. I noticed I could buy a 12
bras assortment for the same price as 1 bra at retail. I took the sizes that did
not fit me to work and sold them for a profit quickly. Then I really wanted to
learn how to create a website, so I did this in my spare time.
Eventually, I quit my job, the stress was eating me alive, the
factory wound up going under anyways. At the time business was good, then
Murphy’s law kicked in and business went south-well it is still buying groceries
but Sometimes we have to eat ramen allot (Ha-Ha!)
Through out time I have tried to reach out to customers buy
starting groups and creating many different websites, and everything is
disorganized. I know the kind of website I want I just can not afford it!
I know some of the questions I usually get is “Are all these
items in stock? in your House?” The answer to that is yes, we have several rooms
in the basement manned with dehumidifiers, and products are either hung in
plastic or stored in ziploc bags.
Why am I telling you all of this? I will tell you why, most
websites are not run the same way, they pretend to be a big business but They are
not. I have never wanted to lie to people or claim to be something I am not. I
figure if I can offer a good product, at a good price, and offer personalized
customer service, then my customers will come back.
