Other websites are advertising this piece as a waist cincher corset. If you bought this item just for the claimed waist cinching properties you may be disappointed. This garter belt may cinch your waist 1/2", and smooth out bulges a little, but there are better waist cinchers on the market for that. This item is primarily a very pretty garter belt, the back has an adjustable hook and eye closure. The garter straps are adjustable and removable. The cool thing is if you remove the garter straps it makes a really interesting fashion belt, as it looks nice with simple flowing dresses, poets shirts, sheer or slinky blouses. Pirate belt?
